France. More and more Jews in France consider the possibility of repatriation to Israel. According to current data, last autumn the number of appeals to the French department of "Sokhnut" grew 30-40% as compared with the previous year. All this happens against the background of anti-Semitism upheaval in the country which started after the beginning of the Palestinian "intifada" in September 2000.
Potential repatriates "are worried about the situation in France as much as about Israeli problems", - the representative of the Jewish Agency said. However, he also noted that "they pay more attention to the historical experience of the Jewish community of France and link it with the current situation".

USA. Representatives of Jewish communities are greatly worried about the future world congress of the "Islam Nation" organization, headed by Luis Farrakhan. Farrakhan is known for his anti-Semitic statements. Many members of his organization are real extremists and support ideas of race segregation, fascism and interethnic hatred.
Despite the last report of the Anti-Defamation League to the USA government, no measures were taken.
