In late December last year the Zionist Federation of Ukraine (ZFU) was created at the conference in the Kiev suburb Pushcha-Voditsa. The delegates from almost all country regions arrived at the forum. It should particularly be noted that there were many young people present.

In autumn of 1999 the Ambassadors of the leading countries in Ukraine supported the idea of creating the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine and honored it congress with their presence. Since that time good relations between diplomats and the JCU have been maintained.
