On December 18-19, 2001, in Moscow, the Jewish community center in Maryana Roshcha hosted the international conference "Jews of silence - Jews of triumph. The Soviet Jewry: yesterday, today, tomorrow" to mark the 25th anniversary of the first semi-underground congress of the USSR Jewish activists. The initiator of the conference was Valeriy Engel - the Executive Director of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia. Read
