I'll speak as a woman whose 15 family members are buried in this place. To me, as well as to many people sitting here, Babiy Yar will remain, first of all, the place of our relatives' death. It is difficult to forget about this. I do not know to whom belongs the idea of choosing this place for building a community center. I do understand that it is a gift, and I am grateful for it. However, my parents taught me that not all presents should be easily accepted. A gift to this place is a bitter gift to me. It can't be easily accepted.
