FRG. The first synagogue in Eastern Germany has recently opened in Drezden. The new building was erected instead of the old one burnt in 1938 during a Jewish pogrom. The building isn't very big - it is for 300 people.
Pol Shpigel, chairman of the Central German Jewish Council, called this event "a miracle we could only dream about 10 years ago". The synagogue construction cost $10 million. The most part of the money was taken from the city budget. Other $2 millions were collected from private donations.

Great Britain. The International Anti-Terrorism Conference, attended by religious leaders of three religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism, was held on November 15 in London. At the conference the representatives of the British Jewish community called for full liquidation of the Israeli State as the only way of solving the Middle East crisis.
As British Jews think, the existence of Israel is the reason of all regional disorders, and therefore there should be no such a state. Israeli Jews should again learn to co-exist with Arabs - under wise Arab supervision, as it was before the creation of the Zionist state.
