Alexender Shteinberg is an architect and artist, member of the Board of Ukrainian Architects' Union (until 1991). At present he lives in the USA. In all times the pass-over of Jewish cultural and religious heritage took place under very difficult conditions. Thus, everyone nowadays welcomes the creation of cultural-enlightenment and cultural-religious centers.

Maya Gal is a Minister -Adviser of the Israeli Embassy to Ukraine and Moldova. She has been working in our country for four years already. As a political adviser, she deals with questions related to Moldova. In Ukraine the area of her activity is culture and education.

The discussions around the place a Memorial to victims of Babiy Yar should be erected in for another time revived in my memory the unforgettable...

I have never thought I would become a voluntary defender of the mighty "Joint" which, alongside with justified reproaches of paternalism towards the local community, have undergone an unjust criticism in the article of Vladislav Nagirner "We need no other Holocaust!"('JO"#13(32). Mr. Nagirner formulates the gist of the problem in the question, "Is it correct to help only Jews?" meaning charitable programs of kheseds.

July 1-4 a founding convention of the World Congress of Russian -speaking Jews (WCRJ) took place. The founders of WCRJ became federation of Jewish communities o Russia, Vaads of Ukraine and Russia, Zionist forum of Jews-emigrants from the USSR (Israel), American association of Jews-emigrants from the USSR (USA) and others.

When there is nothing to write about they write about everything, especially in our provincial Jewish newspapers. They sometimes publish insignificant materials about people who, on a big account, have done nothing for the Jewry. Be them only Jews! But this shouldn't be so!
