September 22 the culture center at the Embassy of State of Israel to Ukraine (ICC) successfully held a "Day of open doors".

Already in the morning the center's entrance was crowded with people (over 300 persons) willing to attend the presentation of ICC culture and education programs. Entering a symbolic wood cabin near the entrance guests found themselves in the atmosphere of hospitality and festivity. A presentation hall failed to accommodate everybody, so the presentation was held twice.

The ICC director, first secretary of the Embassy of Israel Sima Mendelis opened a solemn part. The floor was then given to the center representatives. Coordinator of culture programs Olga Korchak told about ICC culture events: lectures, exhibitions, discussions, concerts. Head of a youth club I.Roman and madrikhas presented a merry scene to illustrate club's programs. The audience also welcomed a teacher of the course "Israel's economy" I.Khapko, coordinator of the Open University Tatyana Lubovich, head of a theatrical studio, theatre and cinema artist Y.Kruchina and others. Sculptor Vladimir Azbel - author of a photo-exhibition "Kibbutz. Nature and people" - told about the life of kibbutz' inhabitants in Israel. The official part ended here. During a short intermission the guests had an opportunity to discover a wonderful exhibition of works by children from Sunday schools, products of Israeli firms, to fill in questionnaires and to sign on to any of suggested programs.

A subsequent entertaining part began with a vocal trio "Margalit" performing several Israeli songs. A renowned satirist Alexander Volodarsky made the guests laugh to tears. Judging by numerous references and an elevated atmosphere it is possible to conclude it was one of the best events ever in ICC's history.
