Lvov hosted a festival of Jewish amateur theatres with the participation of over 15 theatrical collectives from CIS countries. The festival was organized by "Joint" in cooperation with the Jewish agency and other Jewish organizations.

Head of the Jewish agency's representation in Lvov Mikhail Goldovsky has informed 900 people were present at the festival's opening. The festival presented different performances. Besides, it included theatrical master-classes, lectures on the history of Jewish theatre in Ukraine. Most successful collectives received honorable prizes.

Similar festivals are a new step in the life of Ukraine's Jewish community. Its organizers hope to make the festival an annual one.
