ALEXANDER SLIPCHENKO - A NEW AMBASSADOR TO ISRAEL

The President appointed Alexander Slipchenko a new ambassador of Ukraine to Israel. Alexander Slipchenko has been a Ukrainian ambassador to Sweden since 1999. Before that he worked in Denmark and Norway.

Alexander Sergeevich Slipchenko was born in Odessa in 1939.

In 1961 he graduated from Kyiv Shevchenko State University, Journalism Department. In 1972 he finished the Highest Diplomatic School at the USSR Foreign Ministry. He has an excellent command of English and French.

His predecessor in Israel was Dmitry Markov, an ambassador to the Netherlands since September.

We congratulate Alexander Slipchenko and wish him successful consolidation of relations between Ukraine and Israel!
