Lithuania. General Prosecutor's Office has brought an action against three persons. They are suspected for being involved in the genocide of Jews.

Styapas Kupris, aged 91, and Zenonas Garshva, aged 90, participated in operations of Jews' extermination in Borisov, Berezin, Kletsk, Slutsk and other cities and villages of Belarus in autumn 1941. In particular, the police detachment they served in together with Lettish and German soldiers took part in shooting Jews from the Minsk ghetto near Tuchinki village in November 1941. 19 thousand persons were exterminated during the action.

A criminal case was brought to court against another suspect - Yuozas Mazheika, aged 84. The suspects can be hiding on the territory of Columbia and Venezuela. The Prosecutor's Office of Lithuania has already addressed the law-enforcement bodies of these countries with the request to assist in searching for suspects.

Bosnia. One of the most significant Jewish relics of Europe - Easter Agada of XIV century - was put in public in Sarajevo. A restored ancient book is apprehended as a symbol of hope and unity of nations populating Balkans.

Hungary. Hungarian revisionist movement held a demonstration in the central square of Budapest. At the same time members of Jewish community were lightning candles on the sixth day of Hanukkah. Hundreds of skinheads pressed Jews and screamed loudly: "Hungary - is ours!" The police did not interfere having stated both organizations had official permissions to hold their actions.

However, the head of national police Laslo Salgo ordered to hold an investigation in order to find out why these two organizations met in the same place.

Lithuania. The Ambassador of Lithuania to Israel Alfonsas Eidintas was honored to receive a national award in the branch of political science for his monograph "Jews, Lithuanians and Holocaust". The scientist touches upon questions of Lithuanians' participation in Jewish community extermination, post-war relations between Jews and Lithuanians, consolidates an objective view at the Catastrophe events.

Croatia. A group of Israeli and foreign investors has purchased in Croatia a peninsula in order to construct a hospital complex, rehabilitation center and wharf for yachts. Lawyer Amos Maimon, a former general director of President Moshe Katsav's chancellery is among project Israeli companions.

Maimon informs the planned hospital complex will be a private medical establishment specializing in ophthalmic, gynecologic as well as brain operations.
