CFJBS IN CIS: HAVE THEY ANY FUTURE?

Perhaps, no other event in the Jewish life is so popular and takes place concurrently in so many cities of the Commonwealth of Independent States as this one. Present Jewish communities of the CIS states live and develop, despite their common roots and the language unity, under different ethnic cultural conditions, they are separated by many borders, have different development tendencies. The pleasant exception here are the festivals united by one abbreviation - CFJB. The Community Festivals of the Jewish Book, which have become a good tradition, take place practically in every big CIS city and unite cultural and artistic forces of the region.
